In-person therapy in Boulder, CO and via telehealth across Colorado — for men and teen boys ages 15 and up.
As a man in today's world, most of us have more examples of who and how not to be than we do of healthy, strong, adult men. We don't need to look far to find men who abuse power, are disconnected, dominating, and brutal. Meanwhile, rates of mental illness, suicide, and general despair are all exceedingly high among men. Something isn't working.
The world needs healthy, grounded, powerful, direct, and sensitive men. Male energy is, in essence, potent, penetrating, and loving. At its best, therapy for men can be a place where we learn to take more responsibility and ownership over our state of being and our actions, and become the men that our partners, families, friends, and communities need. It's not our fault that men in our society are assumed to be harmful, immature, and disconnected; but it is each man's responsibility to right the ship by learning to walk in a healthy way.
My approach to working with men and teen boys is grounded in warmth, clarity, and honesty. I model these qualities for my male clients so they can begin to orient toward themselves this way, too. Our ability to change always starts with our relationship with ourselves.
I see men and teen boys (ages 15 and up) in person at my Boulder, CO office and via telehealth anywhere in Colorado.
I have a growing interest in working with neurodivergent men and teen boys and am actively developing my expertise in this area.
The modalities below inform my work. I draw on whichever fits you and the moment we're in.
Internal Family Systems. Working with the different "parts" of you — including the ones that protect you in ways that no longer serve you.
Emphasizing present-moment experience, personal responsibility, and awareness of how you engage with yourself and others right now.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Practical skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy. Learning to hold difficult thoughts and feelings without being controlled by them.
The body holds what the mind can't always articulate. Somatic work brings attention to physical sensations as a doorway into deeper healing.
Present-moment awareness serves as a foundation for everything we do.
Scheduling opens in June 2026. In the meantime, feel free to reach out with any questions.
